Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has claimed Liverpool were “on another planet” following their victory over Everton.
The Reds won a 4-1 victory over their city rivals at Goodison Park on Wednesday night in the 239th edition of the Merseyside Derby.

Captain Jordan Henderson opened the scoring with a sublime strike early in the first half, before Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 20th minute.

Demarai Gray recovered a goal for Everton before half-time but Liverpool scored two more goals after the break thanks to Salah and Diogo Jota to seal the three points.

Henry was working as an expert for Liverpool’s win over Everton and delivering his verdict on the Reds full time.

The current Belgian assistant manager explained the difference between Liverpool and Everton, and why they were a class above the home side at Goodison.

“They’re on another planet, not just them but the other two at the top – the pace they’re giving the league is amazing,” Henry said at Amazon Prime.

“But what’s annoying for Everton is that you could have considered the goals at the start.

“At one point I think everyone in that crowd thought there was something they could do and when they gave this gift – unfortunately for Captain Coleman – everything went wrong from that point on. .

“Liverpool is on another planet. The intensity on and off the ball, always applying pressure at the end of the game, always trying to play with the same intensity – amazing.
