A passenger on a recent Delta Airlines flight stunned her fellow travelers and cabin crew when she was reportedly observed nursing her cat and the woman refused to stop at the behest of a flight attendant.
The bizarre incident allegedly took place on a recent Delta flight 1360 from Syracuse, New York, to Atlanta, Georgia.
The story of the allegedly imbalanced feline lover became public after a screenshot went viral on social media, showing a message that was passed on by a Delta crew member to colleagues in the field in Atlanta, calling for help.
According to the message, which was sent through the aircraft’s Addressing and Communications Communications System (ACARS) and was first reported by Newsweek, a passenger in seat 13A “is breastfeeding a cat and will not return the cat to its carrier when [flight attendant] demand.’
Flight attendant Ainsley Elizabeth posted more details on TikTok on November 13.
“This woman had one of those hairless cats wrapped in a blanket to make it look like a baby,” she said. “Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to lock and she wasn’t putting the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for his life.

It’s unclear what happened to the “mom cat” after the plane landed in Atlanta, but Elizabeth claimed in a Nov. 2 TikTok video that security needed to intervene.
The Delta employee who sent the message during the two-hour flight asked Delta’s Red Coat team to meet with the owner of the uncooperative animal on the ground upon landing.
The airline’s website describes its red coats as “elite airport customer service experts, identified by their bright red coats.” They are specially trained to deal with ongoing customer issues. ‘
DailyMail.com reached out to Delta on Thursday for comment on the incident and was awaiting a response.

According to the airline’s website, Delta “fully supports a woman’s right to breastfeed on Delta and connecting Delta aircraft and at Delta facilities.”

The airline allows small dogs, cats and domestic birds to travel in the cabin for a fee, but they must be kept in a pet carrier that fits under the seat.
