Adele might be rolling in the deep, but Seth Rogen was rolling a joint before attending his “One Night Only” concert last month.
The “Superbad” star appeared on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday and spoke about how he ended up at the Big Concert, which took place at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles and then aired on CBS. .
“I was in the front row of Adele’s concert,” Rogan remembers. “It’s as surprising to me as it is to everyone else because I had no idea I was watching a recording of an Adele TV special. ”
Rogen, 39, revealed he was “extremely high” at the concert special and had no idea it was going to be a massive televised event.
The comedian, who received an invitation to a “little concert of Adele”, asked his wife Lauren if she would like to accompany him.
The couple believed it was an intimate concert in a park, so they smoked a “ton of weed” before being driven to the event.
Upon arrival at Griffith Park, the couple were greeted by a film crew and noticed “camera cranes and drones flying around.”
“The first person I see is Oprah Winfrey! Rogen exclaimed, adding that he still believed that he and his wife could “sneak up” behind the back.
However, the couple were given 1A and 1B tickets, with a camera pointed “literally” at Rogen’s face.
“We’re not equipped to do this mentally right now,” the weed-loving actor recalled thinking at the time.
He also recalled thinking that “there are so many more famous people here who should be sitting where I am sitting, and I could feel them insulted because I had such a good seat.”
Rogen told Fallon, “I was in front of Drake. As if there wasn’t a world where I should be in front of Drake. How was that possible?
The actor appears to be an unlikely fan of Adele and has revealed that he still has never met the British superstar.
Although he says he enjoyed the gig, the comedian was “uncomfortable” about getting a seat and being stoned on camera.
Rogen’s interview with Fallon was a slight escape after the actor was criticized last week for appearing to downplay a spike in crime in Los Angeles.
The “Knocked Up” star was grilled online for sounding the burglary of a YouTube star’s car in Los Angeles, claiming it was life in the “big city.”
“Dude, I’ve been living here for over 20 years,” Rogen wrote. “You are crazy haha. The weather is nice, here. Don’t leave anything valuable there. It’s called living in a big city.
After the backlash, Rogen attempted to purify the air in a follow-up post on Twitter. “You may be angry, but I guess I don’t personally see my car as an extension of myself and I’ve never felt violated any of the 15 times my car has been broken into,” Rogen tweeted. “Once a guy accidentally left a cool knife in my car so if this continues you might have a little treat. ”
