Saanich Police locate vehicle, arrest wanted suspect for armed robbery – .

Saanich Police said a suspect wanted for an armed robbery on Friday was arrested.

In a social media post on Saturday afternoon, the department said the vehicle and the suspect were pulled over by officers on Friday evening.

Police are looking for a suspect and a stolen vehicle associated with a recent armed robbery near Victoria.

At around 3 p.m. on December 3, a suspect entered a gas station on Burnside Road West and Harriet Road, approached the cashier, pulled out a knife and demanded money, according to the Saanich Police Department. .

The suspect was given an undisclosed sum of money, exited the storefront, then entered a red vehicle, which was last seen heading west on Burnside Road West, police said.

No one involved in the alleged incident was physically injured.

The suspect is described as a slender man, five feet five inches tall, with short dark black hair, a long black sleeved shirt and a white undershirt.

The vehicle linked to the incident is described as a red 2022 Hyundai Kona with the BC license plate HJ6-35J. Saanich PD says Kona was reported stolen in Nanaimo area earlier on December 3

“If you see this vehicle with the corresponding plate, please call 9-1-1 immediately. Do not approach the suspect because he is considered armed and dangerous, ”said Const. Markus Anastasiades, head of media relations at the Saanich Police Department, said in a press release.
