New 2022 Polestar 3 officially previewed as launch approaches – .

An official image of the Polestar 3 has been released showing more details on the third Polestar model and giving a much clearer indication of its overall size.

This is the second official teaser the Chinese-Swedish has released on the 3, following a fabric photo of a car released earlier this year.

The SUV premium has shown with pixelated camouflage livery. Elements of the company’s “Thor’s Hammer” headlights are on display, as is a large set of wheels and a black glass roof.

The 3 will be Polestar’s first foray into the SUV segment and will be produced at Volvo’s facility in Charleston, South Carolina, USA, alongside the replacement for the Volvo XC90.

“We’re going to build in America for Americans,” Polestar CEO said Thomas Ingenlath. “The Polestar 3 is slated to launch in 2022 as a premium electric SUV that will define the look of SUVs in the electric age. It will also be the first Polestar vehicle to be built in America. “

Earlier this year, Ingenlath told Autocar that the 3 would have two rows of seats instead of three, and that the one and two-engine versions would go on sale.

Detailed technical specifications have yet to be revealed, but Polestar has said the 3 will be more powerful than the closely related successor to the XC90.

The image follows the announcement of the launch of Polestar on the Nasdaq stock exchange. The company will launch a new model every year for the next three years, with hopes of expanding into 30 global markets by 2023. It also plans to “increase tenfold” its global sales from around 29,000 in 2021 to 290,000 by 2025.

“We’re not a virtual business waiting to build factories and sell cars; we are a real company that already manufactures and sells cars all over the world, ”said Ingenlath. “Our two award-winning cars are in circulation in 14 markets around the world, and we expect our global sales volume to reach approximately 29,000 vehicles this year. “

All 3 will be fully revealed next year ahead of the start of European deliveries in Q1 2023.
