The revelation was made by Kirstie Allsopp, who said Kate Middleton was left in tears during an argument with Meghan in May 2018.
Meghan used an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year that it was Kate Middleton who made her cry.
But ‘Location, Location, Location’ presenter Allsopp told the Telegraph that the Duchess of Sussex had not mentioned that the dispute concerns the alleged bullying of Meghan.
“Kate never loses her temper, but she found out that Meghan was rude to the staff at Kensington Palace and she was mad at her,” said Kirstie, a friend of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
“Then Kate broke down in tears because she had lost control and she took flowers from Meghan to try and fix things. “
The Duchess of Sussex fiercely denies the bullying allegations – and her spokesperson said she was the victim of a ‘calculated smear campaign’.
Over the years, there have been reports of strained relations between the two royals.
In 2018, it was reported that the Duchess of Sussex also made Kate cry over her requests for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress for her wedding to Prince Harry.
In her interview with Oprah, Meghan denied this and claimed it was the other way around, claiming that ‘the opposite had happened’ and that Kate had apologized to her for making her cry.

In another twist, it was reported that Kate tried to reconcile with Meghan by offering her flowers as an excuse – only to have her olive branch rejected.
Formal allegations regarding the Duchess of Sussex were made months after she was confronted with Kate Middleton.
Former Duke and Duchess of Sussex communications chief Jason Knauf reportedly sent an email alleging unacceptable behavior by the Duchess in October 2018.
He compiled a file describing the allegations, which was sent to the Duke of Cambridge’s private secretary.
Meghan is said to have slammed ‘it’s not my job to pamper people’ after assistants were left in tears and humbled by her ‘tough demands’.
ALLEGATIONS OF BULLYING
Mr Knauf claimed Meghan’s alleged treatment of staff was ‘totally unacceptable’, adding that she ‘always seemed to want to have someone in her sights’.
A courtier also claimed that the Duchess “ruled by fear” while it was also reported that there was a “feverish” atmosphere.
Another ex-employee alleged that she was personally ‘humiliated’ by Meghan, whose behavior looked ‘more like emotional cruelty and manipulation, which I guess could also be called bullying’.
The Sun revealed in March that Kensington Palace is investigating allegations of bullying against Meghan by focusing on her royal tour of Australia.
The 16-day trip in 2018 was said to have witnessed a series of clashes between Meghan and her staff.
