Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be uncertain for Manchester United’s clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday with a knee problem.

All eyes will be on Ralf Rangnick with the new interim boss taking charge of his first game but he could do without his talisman.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored a brace in the 3-2 win over Arsenal on Thursday night as he hit the 800 career goal mark.

But according to The Sun, Ronaldo injured his knee during the game and some United sources believe this is due to his iconic ‘SIUU’ celebration, which sees him jumping high in the air while spinning before landing with his hands by his side. .

Ronaldo took full advantage of his celebration by scoring from the penalty spot in the 70th minute.

The Portuguese continued to play despite the pain until he was replaced by Anthony Martial just two minutes from time as he awkwardly exited the pitch.

Rangnick gave his first press conference as United boss on Friday and was asked how he plans to use Ronaldo, 36, in his top squad.

“Having seen Cristiano against Arsenal in the second half at the age of 36, he’s a great professional,” he said.

“At his age, I have never seen a player who is still so physically fit. He is always a player who can easily make a difference.

“So yeah, it’s about how we can develop the whole team, not just Cristiano. We play in the most competitive league in the world, so we need all the players on board.

“What I saw of Cristiano, he is more than willing to do, to contribute to the team. His teammates will have to do the same.

United sit seventh in the Premier League table, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
