The Location, Location, Location presenter, 50, shed light on Meghan Markle’s claims that Kate had made her cry during an argument in May 2018.
Kate’s friend Kirstie claimed Prince Harry’s wife – who opened up about the argument during her conversation with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year – did not tell the US TV host that their argument concerned Meghan’s alleged ‘intimidation’ of Kensington Palace staff.
According to Kirstie, the Duchess of Cambridge ‘confronted’ Meghan at the time after hearing that the former Suits star was ‘rude’ to the staff.
“Kate never loses her temper, but she found out that Meghan was rude to the staff at Kensington Palace and she was mad at her,” Kirstie told the Telegraph.
The presenter went on to reveal: ‘Then Kate broke down in tears because she had lost control and she took flowers from Meghan to try and fix things. “
Meghan has been accused of ‘harassing’ assistants at Buckingham Palace when she was a senior member of the Royal Family, after marrying Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly denied the charges in a statement to royal journalist Omid Scobie.
Meghan and Harry’s team also denied the allegations in a statement to The temperature, who said: “Let’s just call it what it is: a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and damaging disinformation. We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of the Duchess of Sussex being credible by any media. “
The new claims come after it was reported that Kate and Meghan’s relationship has been strained over the years.
