Handre Pollard’s move to Premiership ‘imminent’ with huge salary revealed – .

Springbok and Montpellier’s opening half Handre Pollard are expected to move to Gallagher English Premiership shortly, according to reports.

The opener will become a Leicester Tigers player, replacing the departure of George Ford, by the end of this week if the reports in his native South Africa prove to be correct.

He accepted a contract worth £ 600,000 per season, which is considerably less than the £ 1million he currently earns playing in the Top 14. The contract is expected to be for two years with an option of ‘a third.

However, Pollard was reportedly impressed with the club’s ambition and vision after meeting with Tigers officials.

Bath had also shown interest in the playmaker, but Pollard was not interested in a move to Rec and refused their approach.
