Tonight’s win would see Arsenal come back above Tottenham and United, in fifth and just one point behind West Ham in fourth. They haven’t won at Goodison Park since 2017, but face an Everton side in terrible form and it seems like the right time for the Gunners to play them.
Two teams in need of a win meet at Goodison Park on Monday night, looking to ease the pressure after painful midweek losses.

“It was a crazy moment. My best time here so far.
“It was important for us to get this victory. As a group, we went through this rough patch but we stayed together.
“With fans like that, behind us for the whole game, it’s more than deserved. “
“We knew that whatever was going on behind the scenes, whatever was going on, the fans always come here to support us. They need to see a reaction.
“They backed us up from the first to the 90th minute and got us across the finish line. Our performance has shown it.
“I have been here for 12 years. You take the good with the bad. But one thing they do for 90 minutes is support you.
The Toffees did it! Gray’s strike in added time gives them the win, and their long winless streak is finally over!
Aubameyang is missing a huge chance with the last kick of the game to equalize for the Gunners… which sums up their performance. Arteta’s team were really, really poor, and they paid the price late.
90+5 minutes : Iwobi to seal it… Ramsdale saves well.
Everton break and Iwobi is clear, but he can’t score the goal against his former club. But that probably won’t matter …
GRAY WINS IT FOR EVERTON!
It’s a magnificent goal, and it might be enough to end Everton’s long winless streak. Picks him up on the left wing, cuts inside Tomiyasu, and sends a magnificent effort into the far corner. Ramsdale barely moved.
90 minutes : Six minutes of extra time.
Nketiah is playing Odegaard, and he’s slow to get him back on his left foot. This gives Coleman time to slide and block the shot.
89 minutes : Doucoure enters the box and shoots on goal. Don’t catch it though, easy except for Ramsdale.
86 minutes : Changes on both sides. Aubameyang for the Gunners, replacing Lacazette.
And for Everton, ex-Arsenal man Iwobi is signed, Gordon making way.
84 minutes: How the hell did Nketiah not put Arsenal in front ?!
Superb play from Saka on the right wing, and he curls a ball at the far post. Nketiah is free a few yards away, but somehow directs him against the post and he bounces out of play. Terrible miss.
82 minutes: Quel bloc de Godfrey !
Nketiah plays a low cross into the box and Odegaard is free from 12 yards as he rolls towards him. Starts up and sends an effort towards the goal, but Godfrey arrives in the block.
