Speaking to social media, the official Cobra Kai The Twitter account posted two new posters, one of which is a more traditional advertisement for the series, while the other serves as a poster for the 51st Annual All Valley Karate Championship. The second poster teases various events that run through December, all culminating with the “tournament” starting on December 31, the same day as the season premiere.

Along with the news, Jon Hurwitz – creator, writer and director of the show – took to Twitter last week to update fans on the state of the show’s future. Responding to a question about Sam and Miguel’s relationship, Hurwitz revealed that the crew were already filming the “final episodes” of season five.

Season 4 of Cobra Kai will most likely deal with the aftermath of the action-packed season three finale, where fans last saw Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso team up to defeat John Kreese at the All Valley Karate Tournament. However, as they formed their new alliance, it appears that Kreese also enlisted his old friend to help him defeat Johnny and Daniel. The new season will also introduce new characters in the form of Dallas Dupree Young as Kenny and Oona O’Brien as Devon.

In Cobra Kai, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka revisit their star roles in the iconic film franchise, The Karate Kid. Epic opponents return to the dojo, thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley karate tournament. A depressed Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) seeks to redeem himself by reopening the infamous karate dojo Cobra Kai, reigniting his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso ( Macchio), now successful, who struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi.
