Arsenal vs Chelsea LIVE! Women’s FA Cup Final – .

The Women’s FA Cup final takes place this afternoon as two London rivals vie for glory at Wembley Stadium.

It is the late highlight of the 2020/21 50th anniversary edition of the competition, with a record crowd of over 45,000 fans expected.

Chelsea can technically complete a delayed domestic treble with a win today, having triumphed in the Women’s Super League and the League Cup last season.
However, Emma Hayes’ side face an uphill battle against a side of WSL leaders Arsenal who have yet to lose in domestic competition this season under new boss Jonas Eidevall.
The Gunners beat defending champions Chelsea 3-2 when the two sides met in the WSL opener in September, after having won the FA Cup 14 times so far.
However, the Blues emerged victorious from the last FA Cup final meeting between the teams in 2018.

Kirby receives a standing ovation from Chelsea fans. She was exceptional today. Player of the match, without a doubt.
Hayes gives her a huge hug as she walks over to the bench.

73 minutes : Kirby hasn’t gotten rid of that knee injury despite the fact that she just hit the post and she’s going to leave here.

Kirby runs forward unchallenged and smashes an explosive strike against the post with Wubben-Moy falling back and Zinsberger beaten.

70 minutes : A second change from Arsenal sees Beattie giving way to Caitlin Foord.
Arsenal are basically playing with five up front now.
Nothing to lose, of course, led 2-0 with 20 minutes left, but Chelsea will think there are more goals for them on the clock.
Kirby was a little uncomfortable with this knee problem, but luckily she is now back and is moving well.

68 minutes : Wubben-Moy has just gotten away with making contact with a boot in the face of Kirby, who has sought to sprint away from the center line and is now on the ground holding his knee.
But referee Helen Conley had previously whistled with Chelsea keeper Berger after an unconvincing punch, but she just appears to be cramping.

63 minutes : Danger for Chelsea as Miedema delivers a low ball into the box which is cleared by Cuthbert, who collided heavily with Bright.
However, Arsenal wasted their set piece completely and McCabe was booked for cynically knocking down Kirby at the break.
