Adele announces concert residency in Las Vegas, Weekends With Adele

Labyrinthine Covid Reminder System Is The Real Reason For The Delays

Adele has become the latest – and arguably the greatest – artist to announce a concert residency in Las Vegas.

Weekends With Adele will take place between January 21 and April 16, 2022, with two shows each weekend. Tickets go on general sale on December 7.

The concerts at the Colosseum, Caesars Palace Hotel, come on the heels of his fourth album 30, released earlier this month, to critical acclaim and huge commercial success. It is No. 1 in the UK and US, where it became the best-selling album of the year after just three days on sale.

Adele gave two one-off concerts to mark the album’s release, her first shows since June 2017 when she closed her world tour with two nights at Wembley Stadium (last two shows were canceled due to vocal cords damaged).

Her television concert at the London Palladium received five stars in a Guardian review by Rachel Aroesti: It’s better. “

The Vegas shows, which take the pressure off international touring, are a smart move from an artist who lives primarily in Los Angeles, and the relatively small venue with a capacity of 4,100 seats will play to its strengths as that loveseat between songs. Adele told an audience on her previous world tour that “Touring is not something I’m good at. The applause makes me a little vulnerable. I don’t know if I will do another tour. The only reason I filmed was you. I don’t know if touring is my bag.

She becomes the latest star to hold a Vegas residency, with Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Elton John all striking lucrative concert deals in the city in recent years.

Tickets for Weekends with Adele will first be available through presale for registered fans, who must register by Friday. Worryingly, Ticketmaster says, “If demand from verified fans exceeds supply, there will be no public sale. “
