The Oklahoma City Thunder are still making NBA history, but it’s not something they should brag about.

In May 2020, the Thunder lost a 57-point home game to the Indiana Pacers, the biggest home loss in NBA history.

On Thursday, the Thunder lost 152-79 on the road to the Memphis Grizzlies. That means, according to ESPN Stats & Information research, the Thunder now have the biggest road loss (73 points) and the biggest home loss in NBA history.

The 73-point victory margin is a new NBA record, eclipsing a 68-point win by the Cleveland Cavaliers over the Miami Heat in 1991.

The Grizzlies were able to drop 152 points with a roster that has no combined all-star appearances – and with star point guard Ja Morant out due to injury.

Reactions from the sports world have multiplied, with Morant being one of the first to speak about his own team.
