539 new cases of COVID-19, 6 deaths reported in Manitoba in 3 days – .


In the past three days, 539 cases and six new deaths related to COVID-19 have been reported in Manitoba, according to a provincial government statement.
There were 191 new cases on Saturday, 211 on Sunday and 137 on Monday.

No cases of variant B.1.1.529 or omicron have been detected in Manitoba at this time, and all positive samples related to the trip are being sequenced, depending on the province.

The total number of deaths in Manitoba from the coronavirus is now 1,334.

Two deaths were reported on Saturday: a man in his 50s and a man in his 60s, both from the Southern Health Region. Both deaths are linked to an outbreak at the Manitoba Developmental Center, the statement said.

The deaths reported on Sunday included a woman in her 100s from the Winnipeg Health Region, linked to an outbreak at the Surgical Unit at Grace Hospital, and a man in her sixties and a woman in her sixties, all two from the Southern Health Region.

One death was reported Monday: a man in his 60s from Prairie Mountain Health Region.

Winnipeg health region recorded the most new cases in the past three days, with 186, and southern health region, 176 new cases.

Northern health region recorded 79 new cases in three days, and Prairie Mountain and Entre-les-Lacs-Est health regions each recorded 49 new cases in three days.

As of Monday, 152 Manitobans are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 30 in intensive care.
