Tesla CEO Elon Musk has rejected Sen. Bernie Sanders’ demands that the rich “pay their fair share” in his latest dealings with the self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist.
“I always forget you’re still alive,” Musk tweeted to Sanders Sunday morning.
The tweet came in response to Sanders saying on Twitter on Saturday: “We need to demand that the extremely wealthy pay their fair share. Period. “
Musk has a net worth of around $ 294 billion.

Sanders ‘press office did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment on Musk’s tweet.
The two have fought over taxes on Twitter before, including in March when Sanders said Musk should “focus on Earth” instead of space travel and find “a progressive tax system.”

Musk, who also owns aerospace company SpaceX, tweeted a few days later that he was using his wealth to lead humanity to explore space.
“I’m amassing resources to help make life multiplanetary and extend the light of consciousness to the stars,” Musk tweeted on March 21.

“Space travel is an exciting idea, but right now we need to focus on Earth and create a progressive tax system so children don’t go hungry, people aren’t homeless and all Americans have health care. The level of inequality in America is obscene. and a threat to our democracy, ”replied Sanders.
