What We Learned From Week 12 In The NFL – .

Dolphins 33, Panthers 10: Cam Newton’s second start with the Panthers (5-7) couldn’t have been worse after his one-yard touchdown run tied him, 7-7, in the first quarter. In the fourth, Newton had a 5.8 passer rating completing just 5 of 21 assists, and the Panthers put him on the bench for PJ Walker, who quickly threw up a pick. The Miami defense kept Carolina at 198 total yards, and Tua Tagovailoa threw for 230 yards and a touchdown as the Dolphins (5-7) won their fourth straight game.

49ers 34, Vikings 26 : Don’t look now, but the San Francisco 49ers (6-5) are healthy and, at least on offense, look like the team that made their way to an NFC championship two seasons ago. Elijah Mitchell and Deebo Samuel totaled 199 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The Vikings not only fell to 5-6, but also saw star running back Dalvin Cook injure his shoulder.

Broncos 28, chargeurs 13 : The Denver Broncos bloated the Chargers with a steady diet from Melvin Gordon (83 yards) and Javonte Williams (54 yards and one touchdown) on the ground with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater attempting just 18 passes. Defensively, rookie Patrick Surtain Jr. had two picks and picked up one for a touchdown. Time to take the 6-5 Broncos seriously? May be.

Patriotes 36, Titans 13 : During the first practice of the second half, Mac Jones threw a bad ball deep into the Titans’ territory (8-4) which should have been intercepted and returned for a touchdown. The ball was dropped, the Patriots kicked a basket to go up, 19-13, and the rout was underway. The Patriots (8-4) earned their sixth straight victory to stage a massive showdown with the AFC East in Buffalo next Monday night.
