The voiceWendy Moten has revealed that she was seriously injured after falling on stage last week, but she is not bowled over by the incident.

The Team Blake Top 10 finalist, 57, was on hand for Monday night’s episode of the reality show to perform Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene” while wearing casts on both arms.

Moten explained that she broke her right elbow and fractured her left wrist when she fell on a speaker on stage last week, and had to go to hospital.

The fall came after Moten played alongside his coach, Blake Shelton, and fellow team members Lana Scott and Paris Winningham.

After the performance, Moten seemed to fall hard on his arm and head after tripping over a speaker. At the time, however, the singer assured fans that she was going “OK”.

The voice host Carson Daly saw the downfall happen just before the show took a commercial break. “Unhappy moment for Wendy Moten, who is leaving and we hope she’s doing well,” he said as Moten was helped off the stage by Shelton and his teammates.

When the program returned Moten said, “I’m fine! I’m a little bruised, but you know what? I am always ready to go! Daly then noted that nothing like his fall had ever happened on the show until then.

On this week’s show, Moten appeared with pearl-clad plasters on both arms under her turquoise-hued dress.

As for her performance of the country classic, it was well received, with the judges noting Moten’s “persistence” in light of his injuries.

“I know what your week has been like,” Kelly Clarkson told the singer after her performance. “5

“To come out here like nothing has happened…” she continued, “Good job. “

As for Coach Shelton, he was visibly proud. “I have never seen a better example of strength, persistence and fearlessness,” he said as the audience burst into applause.
