Former Spice Girl’s brother Geri Horner has died aged 54 after suddenly collapsing at home.

Max Halliwell was being treated in intensive care after the fall in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire last week, before tragically passing away later.

Sources close to the singer, who was in the Middle East at the time as her husband, F1 boss Christian, was preparing for the Qatar Grand Prix, told The Sun she was “completely broken ”by the news.

They added: “It has been a terribly traumatic time since the moment she learned that Max had been taken to hospital, and the worst outcome that all close to the family had hoped not to be.

“They all rally together but she barely knows what to say or think at the moment – she loved him dearly. ”

Friends have often described Geri and Max as being close, and she turned to him at the height of her fame in the ’90s when she left the girl group, flying to Paris to get away from the limelight. .
