The MCU can be done with Black Widow, but Scarlett Johansson is not done with the MCU.
Despite the death of his character in Avengers: Endgame and receiving her solo release this year, the actress is set to return for another overkill adventure.
Speaking at the American Cinematheque Awards Ceremony Thursday night honoring Johansson’s professional accomplishments (via Weekly entertainment), Marvel boss Kevin Feige has announced that she is working on a secret new project with the studio as a producer.

“We’re already working with Scarlett on another top secret Marvel Studios project unrelated to Black Widow with her as a producer,” Feige said from the stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“Scarlett is one of the most talented, versatile and beloved actors of our time,” he continued. “It was such a pleasure working with someone of his caliber, from the epic training sessions preparing for the hallway fight in Iron man 2 to the press tour around the world for Avengers: Endgame to partner with you as a producer on Black Widow.
“Working with you, Scarlett, has truly been one of the most memorable and rewarding collaborations of my career. “

Mentioning how Johansson was the first Marvel actor to produce his own movie with Black Widow, he explained how: “From our very first meetings, it was clear that she had a vision for this film, how to tell this story. ”
It comes after Johansson and Marvel resolved the actress’ lawsuit against the studio over the Black Widow release, claiming that Disney broke its contract by distributing the film to theaters and on the Disney + streaming platform simultaneously.
Johnsson previously teased an ongoing collaboration with Marvel in a September statement, saying she looked forward to “continuing our collaboration in the years to come.”

The actress was also previously announced to participate in the production of the upcoming Disney film. The tower of terror film, based on the merry-go-round of the same name.
As for the Marvel project she will be working on, we can only speculate at this point, but Feige’s note on how Johansson’s character paved the way for other prominent female superheroes might give us a first clue.
Black Widow is now broadcast on Disney+.
