‘Not normal’ – Jamie Carragher arrives as Tottenham sack former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo – .

Expert Jamie Carragher says it “doesn’t seem fair” that Nuno Espirito Santo has been sacked by Tottenham just 10 games in the season.
The former Wolves boss has been removed from his post following Saturday’s 3-0 home loss to Manchester United, with Antonio Conte set to replace him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While Spurs are a respectable eighth in the Premier League table, it was their fifth loss of the season as fans expressed their displeasure with Nuno in the loss to Man United.

Giving his verdict on sacking ahead of Wolves’ Premier League clash with Everton tonight, Sky Sports expert Carragher said: “It’s not normal and it doesn’t seem right for a manager to lose his job if early in a season.

“Ten games is nothing, but it’s something we all saw coming.

“I don’t think anyone felt at the time, when Nuno got the job from Tottenham, that it was a perfect fit.

“I always thought it would be difficult for him to be there next season. I did not plan that he [he would leave] would happen so quickly.

“There were bad results and bad performances. It was something that was expected as soon as possible.
