No Way Home Ticket Rush Crashes AMC, Fandango’s Websites – .

Spider-Man: No Way Home crashed movie sites early Monday morning.

Marvel and MCU fans may recall that the release of tickets for Avengers: Endgame did quite a bit on movie ticket sites across the United States in 2019. Spider-Man: No Path Home did the exact same thing on Sunday night, with fans online saying AMC, Fandango and many other sites were down due to demand.

From Monday morning, the websites of AMC, Atom, fandango, Cinemark and Alamo Raffle House everything seemed to be operational again.

The release of a THE T.V could be partly to blame. Earlier Sunday, AMC announced that the first 86,000 “AMC Stubs A-List, Premiere, or Investor Connect members” who purchased or reserved tickets to a Spider-Man screening on December 16 would receive an “eco-friendly Spider-Man NFT” “. for their troubles. It’s hard to say if this impacted the downside of the AMC site, but it probably didn’t help. AMC and Fandango did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

But now, after opening night tickets are all sold out, the scalpers appear to be taking advantage of the huge demand for Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets.

Scalpers are already trying to sell opening night tickets at ridiculous prices.

One ad we saw featured an “early view” ticket for $ 10,000 as a minimum bid. Others seemed to ask for more.

It’s hard to say if someone will end up playing that kind of money for a movie ticket, but there are listings with offers – well above retail – already placed. Love this auction and this listing.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 16.
