The “all you can eat” offer at this restaurant apparently doesn’t include the most extreme appetites, which one man says he discovered the hard way.

A food blogger identified only as Mr. Kang was recently blacklisted from a restaurant in China after repeatedly eating obscene amounts of food at the location, the BBC reported.

On his first visit to Changsha City’s only Handadi seafood buffet, Kang reportedly consumed more than 3.3 pounds of pig’s trotters, he told Chinese news channel Hunan TV, according to the report. the BBC.

On a subsequent visit, his hunger turned out to be just as immense and he ate around 8 pounds of shrimp, he recalls. Still, the livestreamer believes the restaurant is “discriminatory” for forbidding him to simply eat all he can at a restaurant that bills itself as “all you can eat” – while those with less appetite are welcome.

“I can eat a lot, is that a fault?” He asked, noting that he was eating all the food he had and that nothing was wasted.

The restaurant owner, however, says that despite the name of the deal, the monetary loss of feeding Mr. Kang’s profitable hunger just isn’t worth it.

The restaurant owner also banned all streamers from gorging on the offer at will.

“Every time he comes here, I lose a few hundred yuan,” the buffet owner told Hunan TV. “Even when he drinks soy milk, he can drink 20 or 30 bottles. When he eats the pig’s trotters, he consumes the whole tray. And for shrimp, people usually use tongs to pick them up, he uses a tray to pick them all up.

At least Mr. Kang isn’t the only one the owner has decided to ban: not all livestreamers are allowed in the restaurant anymore.

The story caused a stir on Chinese social media, where it went viral on the Weibo platform, the BBC reported. Opinions vary widely – some miss the owner and others think the restaurant doesn’t deserve to be called “all you can eat”.
