NASHVILLE, TN (AP) – The Tennessee Titans have placed the Pro Bowl wide receiver seven times jones of july in the injured reserve after injuring his hamstrings in training.
The Titans (7-2) placed Jones in the injured reserve on Saturday with safety Dane Cruikshank. They signed rookie wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick from the practice squad and activated the starting cornerback Kristian Fulton of the injured reserve.

Jones had apparently recovered from the hamstring problem that had kept him from playing three games this season. He was added to the injury report on Thursday after he was seen stopping after running a route during individual exercises.

The 32-year-old receiver did not train on Friday. He has 21 catches for 336 yards, still looking for his first touchdown catch this season. By being placed on the injured list, Jones will miss Sunday’s game with New Orleans (5-3), a visit to Houston on November 21 and a visit to New England on November 28.

Tennessee has its bye on December 2, giving Jones at least a month to heal.

Fitzpatrick was the Titans’ fourth-round pick in Louisville last spring. The Titans also bred the linebacker Dylan Cole and defensive lineman Kyle Peko of the training team.
