Jeremy Clarkson was at a loss for words after tonight’s episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire ended in disaster for Jimmy Carr.
The host hosted more famous faces, all trying to earn a lot of money for the chosen charities.

Tonight, Jimmy Carr, Christine Ohuruogu and Alex Beresford were in the hot seat.

Jimmy was the first.

There were high expectations for Jimmy to perform well, given that he received his first degree from the University of Cambridge.

And things were looking up for the comedian as he soon hit £ 32,000.

For his £ 64,000 question, Jeremy asked: “Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, what steam locomotive set a world speed record in 1938 that still stands?”

The options were A) Rocket, B) The Mallard, C) The Brighton Belle and D) The Flying Scotsman.

Jimmy, who didn’t know the answer, used his lifelines, including calling a friend.

But they had no idea what the answer might be.

Jimmy, who had only set his second safety net at £ 64,000, guessed and picked The Flying Scotsman.

However, that was not the correct answer, the correct option being The Mallard.

Jimmy quickly lost £ 31,000 and walked away with £ 1,000.

Host Jeremy was left speechless.

He said: “I’m trying to find the right words… it’s a disaster. “

As Jimmy left the set, Jeremy commented that he was “very funny but thick”.
