Great British Bake Off fans are being gutted after Liverpudlian baker Lizzie became the next baker to be knocked off the show in his very first week ‘off’.
Bakers were tasked with making gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan pastries.

The Lizzie star left viewers in tears as she used her gluten-free sponge cake to raise awareness of Special Educational Needs (SEN) after revealing that she suffered from ADHD and severe dyslexia.

Tearful Lizzie told the camera, “I’m really proud of myself, I’m really happy to be a quarter-finalist. deserve to be there. They are tears of joy. ”

Viewers were equally upset over Lizzie’s elimination and explained their thoughts on social media.

Despite her sad exit, Lizzie has revealed that she and the other bakers are all lifelong friends, which is sure to delight fans.

She explained that she and vegan pastry chef Freya took a road trip together to visit all the other contestants as the couple solidified their friendship by getting the matching Bake Off tattoo.

Lizzie said, “We visit each other all the time, and Freya and I took a road trip. We went to Scarborough in her hometown, then Leicester to see Chigs, Birmingham for Rochica, then London for Amanda who hosted a barbecue for everyone and we stayed with Crystalle.

“Then we went to Kent to see Tom and Brighton to see Jurgen, then to Bournemouth to see Maggie. We drove for about nine days, it was a fantastic trip, and we felt like Thelma and Louise. “
