TV weather presenter Alex Beresford has revealed he has Covid, claiming he has been in bed since last week.
The Good Morning Britain star described his symptoms as “like a really bad flu” to his Twitter followers and said he had been vaccinated against the virus.

The 41-year-old from Bristol said he may have let his guard down when it comes to taking precautions to avoid catching the disease.

He said over the past two weeks he had “relaxed” when it came to wearing a mask and washing his hands.

He tweeted: “I have been in bed since last week with covid. It looks like a really bad flu.

“I’ve been actively wearing my mask and washing my hands for the past few months because I was on projects that I couldn’t fall for, but I know I relaxed for the past two weeks and here I am! “

He added: “I wouldn’t like to imagine how much worse I would be if I hadn’t had the vaccine. “

Alex recently took part in famous versions of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Catchphrase, both on ITV.

The rules on wearing face masks have been tightened following concerns about the omicron variant and there are new travel restrictions.
