Officials confirmed that “a number of fans” were able to enter the hall whether they had tickets or not.

Dramatic scenes showed dozens of people crossing the lines and breaking into the room as bamboozled security guards attempted to push back.

Skirmishes could be seen as O2 employees tried to prevent fans from crowding into the music arena to watch Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” tour.

But soon after, the frenzied crowd knocked over the airport-style security scanners as they burst into the venue.

The arena – which can hold up to 20,000 people – has confirmed it is reviewing its security procedures following the breach.

And they advised fans coming to Wizkid’s extra shows this week to arrive early for security checks.

A spokesperson for the venue told The Sun Online: “Tonight there was a breach of the security cordon at the entrance to the arena and as a result a number of fans in line. ‘wait were able to enter the room.

“The situation was quickly contained by the staff and the incident was resolved.

“The venue is reviewing security procedures for the remaining shows this week and advising fans to arrive early for security checks tomorrow night and again on Wednesday. “

Another added: “After Astroworld? People don’t feel ashamed or appreciate their safety. “

The chaotic concert scenes come just weeks after the Astroworld tragedy in the United States.

Ten people have died and hundreds more have been injured as a result of a crash on the opening night of rapper Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival.
