Arsenal academy starlet Bukayo Saka has called Mikel Arteta a “tactical genius” able to “outsmart” any of his Premier League opponents.

Saka has played a starring role for Arteta this season after graduating from the first team under former Gunners manager Unai Emery.

The 20-year-old believes Arteta played a role in his rise to stardom – claiming the Arsenal boss knows how to ‘get the best’ out of his players and ‘prepare’ them for the big games.

Speaking to SportBIBLE, the academy sensation said: “Tactically it is [Arteta] a sacred genius.

“I would say that, tactically, I think he’s good at outsmarting other teams and he always knows how, how it was best to come out in terms of back play.

“And how do you best remove them and, I think as players, it really helps you prepare for games and know what you need to do to win, basically.”

Saka also named former Gunners center-back David Luiz the player who has helped him the most in his career so far.

Saka described Luiz as his “most useful teammate” as he “advised” him on and off the pitch.

The 20-year-old said: “I got a lot of help from a lot of different players, but I would say that’s probably the biggest impact – probably David Luiz.

“He’s done the most for me in my career, obviously getting into the first team hasn’t always been the easiest experience but, and I think if you say that to all the young Arsenal players, [they’d say] David has done so much.

“He went out of his way to do a lot for us – advice on and off the pitch, yes he was a really good guy, but there have been a lot of other players at Arsenal of course, but I would say probably David. ”
