As noted, Red Notice served as the main sponsor for last night’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view. The pay-per-view featured WWE CEO Vince McMahon in segments with Cleopatra’s $ 100 million golden egg, which was also used in the film. McMahon said the egg was given to him personally by The Rock, but was subsequently stolen. McMahon ordered Adam Pearce to investigate the theft and said all RAW and SmackDown Superstars must be on RAW tonight to shed light on the theft.
In one update, the entire SmackDown roster is expected to be on RAW tonight from Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the Golden Egg story continuation, according to PWInsider. It was also noted that the brief storyline is expected to end tonight.
WWE reportedly made the creative decision to do the Golden Egg script last Thursday. Many talents were unaware of the progress of their travel plans until they arrived at the SmackDown taping on Friday in Hartford, Connecticut.
It was also noted that while Red Notice was the main sponsor of the Survivor series, the storyline with Cleopatra’s Golden Egg is part of a paid Netflix promotion, for which WWE received a significant salary.
Stay tuned for more. For those who missed it, here are the related pay-per-view clips:
