Avril Lavigne announces first cross-Canada tour in more than a decade this spring – .


TORONTO – Avril Lavigne has announced her first cross-Canada tour in over a decade.

The “Bite Me Canada 2022” tour is scheduled to take place in 14 cities between May 3 and May 25, with special guests Grandson and Mod Sun.

The Napanee, Ont., Singer recently released the single “Bite Me” with Travis Barker, her first release since “Head Above Water” in 2019.

Lavigne calls the song “a hymn about knowing your worth, what you deserve and not giving someone who doesn’t deserve you a second chance.” She says new music and a new album will follow in 2022.

Next year will also mark the 20th anniversary of Lavigne’s debut album “Let Go”, which included the singles “Complicated” and “Sk8er Boi”. Lavigne was 17 when the album came out.

The “Bite Me Canada Tour” stops in Moncton; Halifax; Quebec City; Montreal; Ottawa; Toronto; London, Ont .; Windsor, Ont .; Winnipeg; Saskatoon; Edmonton; Vancouver; Victoria and has two shows in Calgary.

Presale begins Monday with tickets on public sale starting December 3.

“I’m so excited to come home and play with you Canada! I look forward to seeing you in person this spring, ”Lavigne said in a statement Friday.
