Antonio Conte’s £ 251million spent that will thrill Tottenham fans as Spurs chase six Serie A stars – .

Antonio Conte is one of the biggest names in football management, so it should come as no surprise that the Italian manager is asking a lot of money from any club he moves to.
football.london understand that Tottenham and Conte are in advanced talks for the Italian to become Nuno Espirito Santo’s replacement in north London.

Conte has been unemployed in football since leaving Inter Milan this summer after guiding the San Siro-based side to their first Serie A title in more than a decade.

Daniel Levy is determined to secure the deal for the 52-year-old, who was his prime target ahead of Nuno’s appointment this summer.

But, if Conte is nominated, then Levy will likely have to back his new manager in the transfer market, with a mind-boggling statistic emerging.

At Conte’s last two clubs, Chelsea (2016-18) and Inter Milan (2019-2021), the coach spent a combined total of £ 251million in his first summer transfer windows in charged.

Along with the Blues, Conte brought in Michy Batshuayi (£ 35million), N’Golo Kante (£ 32million), David Luiz (£ 31million) and Marcos Alonso (£ 20million), which accumulates to £ 118m, while at Inter the Italian signed Romelu Lukaku (£ 66m), Valentino Lazaro (£ 20m), Matteo Politano (£ 19m), Ionut Radu (£ 9.5m), Eddie Salcedo (£ 9m), Gabriel Brazao (£ 5.4m) and Lucien Agoume (£ 4m), which adds up to around £ 133m.

Tottenham could secure a series winner at Antonio Conte

Put those two numbers together and you’ve got £ 251million – in just two transfer windows. Conte undoubtedly needs the money to get the players who fit his ideology and if he can generate that kind of fund under Levy then the Tottenham fans could be treated to some very exciting transfer windows.

If he is named, then Conte’s first transfer window will be in January, but as we know, the winter period is generally much quieter in terms of activity than it is during the summer.

However, according to Sport Mediaset, via the Mirror, Conte has already identified six new players he wants to bring with him from Serie A to the Premier League.

Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic, AC Milan’s Franck Kessie, Lazio star Manuel Lazzari and Juventus forward Federico Chiesa have all been reportedly identified as targets by Conte.

Conte is also said to be keen to sign a new center-back, with Matthijs de Ligt, Alessandro Bastoni and Stefan De Vrij, the names being mentioned in the report.
