She added that she immediately dialed 911 and that a police officer was dispatched to the scene. Upon examination, it was discovered that the rock was not there as a result of a construction process in Kicking Horse Canyon. The only alternative possibility was that a meteorite had passed through its roof.
She explained that Kicking Horse Canyon saw a bright light in the sky that burst and boomed. A meteor was also seen earlier that night over Lake Louise, about 52 miles to the east, by onlookers.
Hamilton is unharmed and intends to keep the rock
According to Victoria News, Hamilton was shaking and terrified when this happened. She said she was relieved when it was concluded that the rock had fallen from the sky. She is unharmed and intends to keep the rock for the foreseeable future, saying her grandchildren will find it fascinating.
Hamilton said his insurance company would conduct a tour of his property to determine if roof holes caused by space debris are covered. Apparently, this is the first time the company has received a complaint of this magnitude. She also said that she was completely blown away that it is a “star” that came out of the sky.
