Waka Flocka Flame’s wife Tammy Rivera argued with a CVS employee on Sunday in a series of chaotic videos.
Rivera, 35, argued with the pharmacy worker and claimed the worker racially profiled her, according to TMZ. However, the “Love & Hip Hop” star doesn’t want to get the woman fired.
Rivera makes frequent stops at CVS in DeKalb County, GA for all of her pharmacy needs and knows most of the employees. But the worker she struggled with was a new employee.
In videos obtained by Shade Room, Rivera claimed the woman kept staring at her while she was shopping and even yelled at Rivera for opening a hair accessory she wanted to buy.
Authorities were called when the CVS employee attempted to kick the singer from the store. Rivera left the store in an attempt to avoid any trespassing charges against her. The next day, the mother-of-one filed a complaint with CVS and the general manager quickly called her to apologize for the employee’s actions.
Rivera told the outlet that she didn’t want the company to fire the woman, but would like to see her receive more education and training on discrimination.A CVS representative told TMZ that the store has a “firm policy of non-discrimination” and ensures that all customers are “treated with respect and provided with courteous customer service.” The company will also open an investigation into this matter.
Rivera shared a video on social media after the incident to explain his side of the story.
“I want to be treated fairly and I am a human being. I don’t think I look better than everyone else, ”she said in the three-minute clip. “I am an ordinary person and do not expect to be treated with special privileges. “
She continued, “I think you should greet the janitor with the same respect you give the CEO. She then added a message to the employee, “Treat everyone fairly. You sat there and racially profiled me.
“It’s crazy because I see a lot of black and brown people…” I just felt right, why would that matter [what my skin color is]? She asked the camera.
“The whole night shook me and I’m sorry I let this lady disturb my peace,” she concluded her video.
