Chocolate, ice cream, lamb moussaka and burgers are among the latest items to be recalled by supermarkets for safety reasons.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said major retailers, including Waitrose, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, are affected by the alerts.

Some products may contain nuts, eggs, or milk that are not listed on the label, while others may contain small pieces of plastic.

The FSA has released full details of each product, including their photo, package size, and expiration date so buyers can quickly identify if anything in their fridge, freezer, or cupboard is affected.

Anyone who has purchased the items listed below should not eat them. Instead, bring them back to the supermarket on their next visit in exchange for a full refund.

No receipt is required due to the nature of the reminder alert.

Waitrose



Waitrose Belgian dark chocolate with raisins and almonds

Waitrose & Partners is recalling Waitrose Belgian Dark Chocolate with Raisins and Almonds from certain packages containing hazelnuts (walnuts) which are not mentioned on the label.

The FSA has stated that this means the product is a possible health risk for anyone allergic to hazelnuts (walnuts).

Due to a packaging error, some packaging instead contains Waitrose Belgian dark chocolate with hazelnuts.

Waitrose is also recalling Waitrose & Partners Plantlife Pulled Oyster Mushroom Burgers, as the product may contain small pieces of blue plastic.

The possible presence of plastic makes this product unfit for consumption.

Morrisons Amour Classic Vanilla Ice Cream is being recalled because the product may contain small pieces of plastic.

The possible presence of plastic makes this product unfit for consumption.
