Santa Fe County Prosecutor Mary Carmack-Altwies speaks out against last week’s fatal shooting.

Carmack-Altwies recently spoke to The New York Times, explaining why she disputes the term “propeller gun”, which was used in connection with the incident, calling it misleading.

Carmack-Altwies did not provide any additional information on the type of firearm, but three revolvers were included in an inventory list of items collected by authorities on the set of the Western genre film in the midst of their investigation.
Gun safety expert Tom Gresham recently told Fox News that the term “propeller pistol” was “meaningless.”

Additionally, gunsmith Bryan Carpenter also told Fox News that the term “propeller pistol” referred to “a rubber pistol.”
