Brazilian Senators Support Criminal Charges Against Jair Bolsonaro Over Covid Crisis

Csomeone please run to hell and check if it’s frozen? See, I just found myself nodding at Fox News. Fox News personality Neil Cavuto pleaded with viewers to “throw out the political arguments” and get the shot on Sunday. “Life is too short to be a donkey,” he said, adding that he expected to be attacked for his opinions.

Telling people to get vaccinated during a pandemic shouldn’t be controversial. Cavuto’s employer has been working overtime to make sure this is the case. A recent analysis by a media watchdog found that 60% of Fox News’ summer programming featured claims of infringing vaccinations. While Fox has amplified anti-vaxxer propaganda, however, he has also quietly enforced his own strict vaccination and testing policies. Almost 90% of Fox Corporation’s full-time employees have been vaccinated, it was reported last month. The company also said it will soon be implementing daily Covid testing for employees who haven’t had the jab.

It has become sadly clear that we are not going to end this pandemic by relying on everyone to do the best for the greater good. If we are to have any hope of getting back to normal, we need stringent vaccine and testing requirements – as Fox, for all of its stances on freedom, clearly realizes. There are heated debates around the world on how to implement this. Indonesia has made vaccines mandatory, with heavy fines for refusniks. While it seems unlikely that most countries will go this far, vaccination mandates for people such as government workers and caregivers have been implemented in countries like the United States, Australia, France and -om November 11 – in England. They should be too. There is nothing controversial about requiring people to get vaccinated; vaccination requirements for school and travel have been in place for decades. If you are walking down the street protesting the “tyranny” of being forced to consider others, please pull yourself together. Even the Fox News hosts think you are an idiot.
