Ryan Reynolds says he’s taking ‘a little sabbatical from filmmaking’ – deadline – .

Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram on Saturday to announce that he will be taking a “little sabbatical from filmmaking” after finishing production on the Apple TV + film, Fiery.

“It’s a wrap for me on Spirited. I’m not sure I would have been ready to say yes to such a difficult movie three years ago, ”the actor-producer wrote. “Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made many dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @ octaviaspencer… ”

Reynolds added that with her last filming completed, it’s the “perfect time” for a break.

“I’m going to miss every second of working with this group of incredibly gifted creators and artists,” he continued. “Nowadays, kindness counts as much as talent. I have been fortunate enough to work with people who are aware of both.

Reynolds’ hiatus comes after two 2021 action comedies release: the Lionsgate sequel Hitman’s wife bodyguard and free guy, a big box office hit from director Shawn Levy. He will next be seen opposite Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot in Rawson’s Netflix action pic Marshall Thurber, Red Notice, slated for release on November 12.

Reynolds is also a producer on Fiery, which is a musical cover of Charles Dickens’ new classic, A Christmas Carol. A premiere date for the photo of Apple, from directors Sean Anders and John Morris, has yet to be set.
