BeINSPORTS presenter Richard Keys is the latest to praise Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah after the striker’s performance against Manchester City on Sunday.
And he revealed how his colleague Andy Gray reacted in the studio after the astonishing strike.

Salah scored a superb solo goal against Pep Guardiola’s side, evading challenges from several City players before scoring him past Ederson.

The Egyptian’s effort may not have been a winner as he finished 2-2 at Anfield, but the football world has certainly been in awe of the Liverpool star man.

So much so that the sports presenter compared Salah to Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain.

“Superb. It was absolutely beautiful, ”Keys wrote in a blog post . “I said that day and I’ll say it again now – the only other player on the planet who could have scored that goal is Messi. It was a work of art. Something of rare beauty.

“It didn’t need words as we’ve watched it over and over again on BeINSPORTS. Just me, Andy [Gray] or Nigel de Jong were going to say he could have added anything. Mo Salah’s goal against City was the culmination of a wonderful second half.

“It was one of those rare moments that elicited spontaneous applause from the whole studio – even Andy – who is a rookie – but immediately knew we had all just witnessed something special. It’s my new favorite PL goal of all time. Sorry. [Matt] The Tissier! “

Salah’s goal against City was his ninth in all competitions so far this season and he has scored in every game he has played except one.
