Vancouver restaurant in Chinatown will allow customers to fully realize their Squid game dreams this Halloween.
Han Seung-min, Sai Woo’s chef, hosts Squid Game Nights at his establishment as part of a special Halloween celebration.
The event kicks off on October 28 and runs through Halloween night, with three different seats available for guests each night.
A six-course traditional Korean dinner menu will be presented alongside the Squid game festivities. Special cocktails will also be available for purchase.
Staff will wear Squid game costumes to further enhance immersion during the event.
Between classes, those brave enough to attend will play Ppogi or Honeycomb at their tables.
This game consists of cutting shapes out of a sugar and honeycomb candy with a needle. Customers will also play a version of the Marble Game, also known as Gganbu.
During the evening, customers will receive numbers that will be called. Those summoned will have to bravely take center stage to embody Ddakji. This is the game that has two tiles, one being thrown on top of the other lying on the ground in an attempt to turn it over.
House prizes will be awarded to the winners of the various events.
Sai Woo is located at 158 East Pender Street and reservations can be made on their website.
