After a wave of almost upheaval, the top of the coaching poll remained the same, with Georgia again winning all 64 votes for the top spot. However, Penn State fell nine spots to No.17 after losing a historic nine-hour overtime game to Illinois on Saturday.

After a close encounter with Kansas, Oklahoma dropped two spots to No.4. No.2 Cincinnati and No.3 Alabama jumped the Sooners after the far too competitive game. Ohio State, meanwhile, remained at No.5 after comfortably beating Indiana.

Oklahoma State fell six spots to No.15 and out of the top 10 after suffering its first loss of the season against Iowa State, paving the way for the Cyclones to re-enter the poll at No.23. Losses opened the door at No. 23. 9 Ole Miss and No. 10 from Iowa to join the top 10. The state of North Carolina and Coastal Carolina remained in the polls despite the losses.
