Over the weekend, Orlando Bloom got busy decorating the bedroom of their one-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, showing in an Instagram video adorable white daisies atop a yellow painted wall.
“Dad of the Year,” a voice believed to be Katy Perry’s fiancée says to shirtless Bloom, who laughs before saying, “Stars. They are like us… ”
Needless to say, the cute video was greeted by a small army of adoring fans who couldn’t help but show their support for the young parents while also highlighting Bloom’s youthful vigor.
“I swear this man isn’t getting old,” a fan said of Bloom, who also shares his 10-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
“Can you paint my walls? One commentator joked before another followed up with “Mine too”.
The proud parents didn’t hesitate to let fans join in their celebrations. In August, the couple celebrated Daisy’s first birthday with a giant floral display of daisies formed together to create number one, which Bloom shared on her Instagram Stories.
“The gift that never stops is the love of a child,” Bloom wrote on Instagram at the time.
Perry also paid tribute to his daughter on Twitter, writing “1 year ago today is the day my life began… Happy First Birthday my Daisy Dove, my love. “
Last month, Perry opened up to Variety on the joys of motherhood, explaining that the first few weeks of parenthood saw some of the “biggest” and “best” changes in her life.
“I’ve never really known unconditional love,” she said. “Obviously my mom has that for me, but I didn’t really experience it in first person until I had my child. And that was just a whole different I think I see through a child’s eyes – how playful my life and art is – so it’s amazing that you can relate to kids even in their thirties. “
“As a new mom, those first six weeks are like, ‘What? “It’s just the biggest life change of all time,” she added. “You are responsible for the welfare of someone who cannot even hold their head up high. It’s a real change, and you don’t become number 1 on the call sheet. And this is the best. “
“Children are such a gift,” she added. “I understand why people have been doing this for eons and continue to do so. “
