Newcastle United new owner Amanda Staveley hit town ahead of Spurs game – .

Newcastle United’s new owner Amanda Staveley took the opportunity to sample the city’s famous nightlife on Saturday night before taking a seat at St James’ Park for Sunday’s game against Spurs.
Earlier this month, after what seemed like an eternity of speculation, businesswoman Amanda’s takeover of NUFC from CP Capital Partners, along with PIF and the Reuben Brothers, was finally confirmed, sparking celebrations mad in Tyneside.

After a week of excitement for the club’s new era, it was time for Steve Bruce’s side to get back on track with action on the pitch against their London opponents on Sunday.

But not before Amanda and her husband, Iranian businessman Mehrdad Ghodoussi, had the chance to hit the bright lights of Toon on Saturday.

The couple attracted a lot of attractions as they left the Quayside Aveika hangout, after having a meal there, before hopping in a cab for the 30-second ride down the street to the nearby Livello hangout.

The couple stayed in the newly renovated late-night hangout until shortly after midnight.

Nightclub security stopped patrons and cleared the door to welcome the new club owners and led them straight into the VIP area.

After visiting Livello, they also had a drink at Above – the new rooftop bar atop the Vermont Hotel, which offers stunning views of Newcastle.

The couple returned to the hotel around 12:30 am in a taxi.

After some sleep, Amanda headed to St James’ Park to see her new team in action, sitting right behind Ant and Dec who were full of excitement for the game.

Unfortunately, as the Magpies got off to a dream start, thanks to a Callum Wilson goal just after the two-minute mark, Spurs took a 3-1 lead at halftime and the score stayed that way until in the last minutes when Eric Dier put the ball into his own net to make the final result 2-3.

Ahead of the game, which saw him and Amanda receive an enthusiastic reception from the St James faithful, Mehrdad tweeted: “So excited and hopefully 3pts.

“But remember, today is bigger than that, today is about a new beginning, new hope and a better future. Let’s take advantage and celebrate ONE NEWCASTLE UNITED. “
