Netflix is developing “That ’70s Show” spin-off called “That’ 90s Show” – MobileSyrup – .

This 70s show officially returns – sort of.
Netflix has commissioned a spin-off of the classic sitcom, called This show of the 90s, focused on Red and Kitty Forman. Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will reprise their roles as Patriarch and Matriarch Forman, respectively.

Notably, the creators of the original series Bonnie and Terry Turner and their daughter Lindsey will return the writers and executive producers alongside This 70s show alum Gregg Mettler, who will also serve as showrunner.

Set in 1995, the new series follows Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, as she visits her grandparents Red and Kitty for the summer. This show of the 90s will be a multi-camera sitcom like the original series and will run for 10 episodes.

It remains to be seen whether other Topher Grace or Laura Prepon, who played Eric and Donna in This 70s show, or one of the other original stars, will return for This show of the 90s. A release date for This show of the 90s has not yet been confirmed.

It is also not yet clear whether This 70s show will come to Netflix Canada as part of this deal. Interestingly, the series is not on any streaming service in Canada.

Hope it ends up being better than This spectacle of the 80s.
