Morales began her career at WVIT, a subsidiary of NBC, before moving to MSNBC and, in 2006, “TODAY”, where she started as a correspondent. She then replaced Ann Curry, and then, in 2016, became the show’s presenter on the West Coast.

In addition to her “TODAY” gig, she also replaced Billy Bush on “Access Hollywood”, which she hosted from 2016-2019, and is a “Dateline” contributor. She would apparently remain as “Dateline” correspondent for the rest of the year, but it is unclear when she will finish her work on “TODAY”.
NBC says there will be a “farewell on-air tribute … in the coming weeks.”
According to the Daily Mail and the Los Angeles Times, she is heading to “The Talk” – although that has yet to be officially confirmed.
If she made it to the CBS morning show, she would be the latest in a series of reshuffles there, following the departures of Sharon Osbourne, Carrie Ann Inaba and Elaine Welteroth. Their outings were filled with Jerry O’Connell and Akbar Gbajabiamila, who will host Season 12 alongside veteran co-hosts Sheryl Underwood and Amanda Kloots.
