LeBron James had a few choice words for Squid gamethe protagonist after a Lakers press conference.
After James’ post-game presser for the Los Angeles Lakers pre-season loss to the Golden State Warriors, the four-time NBA champion met with teammate Anthony Davis to discuss protagonist Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, and the end of the Korean survival drama that took the world by storm.
For the uninitiated, Squid game is a survival drama set in Seoul, where hundreds of financially strapped contestants have given up their lifelong rights to play children’s games for a chance to win a grand prize of $ 38 million. Lose any round and prepare for a grisly death.
The ending in question was the final scene of the Season 1 finale when Gi-hun, after winning the multi-million dollar grand prize that claimed hundreds of lives, reverses his direction to the plane that would reunite him with his daughter from whom he was separated.
“Are you finishing it?” You made? James was seen asking Davis in a video captured by Orange County Register Lakers beat reporter Kyle Goon.
After Davis confirmed his full take on the most-watched Netflix series of all time, the 17-time NBA All-Star gave his opinion on the nine-episode show’s conclusion.
“I didn’t like the ending though,” James told Davis. “Get on the f-king flight to see your daughter. What are you doing? “

The Akron, Ohio native criticized Gi-hun’s logic and suggested the match winner should be content with his winnings.
James continued, “This is [45 billion] won. Like, brother, he won the game.
Since its debut last month, the Hwang Dong-hyuk-directed series has quickly reached number 1 on Netflix in 90 countries in its first 10 days. Since yesterday, Squid game supplanted Bridgerton to become Netflix’s largest series launch, garnering 111 million total viewers.
