England coach Craig Richards has named nine players from the three-time winner St Helens to face France on Saturday in Perpignan.
The historic event will be televised live on BBC2 at noon, the first time a women’s international has been broadcast on terrestrial television.
Captain Emily Rudge, one of the Saints’ contingents, will win a record 24th selection.
She is joined by Woman of Steel Jodie Cunningham and Rachael Woosey, who will make her international debut after leaving rugby union.
York center Savannah Andrade is another rookie, with Castleford, Leeds, Wigan and Huddersfield also represented in the squad.
Saturday’s game, which will be part of a doubles program with the men’s test at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium, was staged following the postponement of the World Cup which coach Richards said could be a blessing in disguise.

“It would have been nice to play in the World Cup this year, but those extra 12 months allow us to dig a little deeper, ask a little more and create a few more challenges within the squad. “
The two sides last met in Carcassonne on October 18, with England winning 54-4.
In their last test, France beat Turkey 54-4.
Coach Vincent Baloup said: “This test is an important step in our preparation for the World Cup. We gradually built a group, built a game plan and we are already waiting for this game to face one of the best nations in the world: England.
