A Florida medical examiner’s office was called Wednesday to a Sunshine State wildlife preserve where authorities have been looking for Brian Laundrie for more than a month.

The District 12 Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the Carlton Reservation in Sarasota County, a worker told Insider, declining to say why.

In addition, a human remains detection team from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office was invited by the North Port Police Department to visit the nature reserve on Wednesday to help search for laundry, the door said. lyrics by Amanda Hunt.

The team is made up of a human remains detection dog and a handler, Hunt said, adding that this was the third or fourth time the team has been called in to help with the search.

Earlier Wednesday, property belonging to Brian Laundrie was found near the Carlton reservation after his parents joined the FBI-led search, family attorney Steven Bertolino said.

The unspecified objects were discovered in Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, which connects to the 25,000-acre Carlton Reservation in which the FBI and other law enforcement agencies have been searching for laundry since mid-September, according to Bertolino.

Laundrie’s parents, Chris and Roberta, joined law enforcement in the park Wednesday morning to “look for Brian,” Bertolino said.

“The FBI and [North Port Police Department] were informed last night of the intentions of Brian’s parents and they met Chris and Roberta there this morning, ”the attorney said.

“After a brief search for a runway that Brian frequented, some items belonging to Brian were found,” Bertolino added. “For now, the police are conducting a more in-depth investigation in this area. “

Laundrie remains the only person of interest in the disappearance and murder of his fiancée Gabby Petito.

Laundrie’s parents reported their son’s disappearance to Florida police on September 17 – more than two weeks after the 23-year-old returned home after a cross-country trip he took with Petito without it and with the van they were traveling in, authorities said.

Petito’s body was discovered at a remote Wyoming campsite on September 19. A coroner later ruled the 22-year-old woman died from manual strangulation in late August.
