First Look at the Game of Thrones star in Netflix’s The Sandman – .

Gwendoline Christie has played in everything from Game of Thrones at disney Star wars suites, one of the The hunger Games films et Russell T Davies’ Wizards vs. aliens.

She hasn’t been seen onscreen for a little while, but now she’s making a comeback in Netflix’s big adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s classic. The sand man, playing none other than the ruler of Hell, Lucifer (not that one).

A poster for the series which debuted at DC’s FanDome event this weekend – Warner Bros. is producing the show for Netflix – showed us what the actress would look like in the role, and we’re kinda annoyed by its freezing cold. look.

Christie looks almost cherubic with her curly hair and pale face, with the shadow of her wings framing her face so you can’t help but stare at those piercing eyes.

The series has other recognizable names in its cast, with The boat that rockedTom Sturridge as the main character Morpheus, Logan‘s Boyd Holbrook comme The Corinthian, camarade Thrones alum Charles Dance as occultist Roderick Burgess, Asim Chaudhry and Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain and Abel, Cruel‘s Kirby Howell-Baptiste in the role of death, Docteur Who‘s Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Harry Potteris David Thewlis as Doctor Destiny, and MODOK‘s Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven.

Oh, and sure enough, National Treasure Stephen Fry has a role to play in that as well.

After a long development process that originally planned it as a film starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, The sand man is finally all filmed and we expect it to air next year.

Meanwhile, an audio version of Gaiman’s comic book series featuring X MenJames McAvoy as Morpheus has been released on Audible if you’re in the mood for a spin.
