FBI finds Brian Laundrie’s belongings after his family leads them to a new lead – .

The lawyer for the Laundrie family, Steven Bertolino, tells TMZ… Brian’s parents, Chris and Roberta, traveled to Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port, Florida on Wednesday morning to look for it – apparently a new area that hadn’t been explored.

We’re told the family informed authorities of their intentions, and of course … the FBI and North Port Police showed up early on as well. Bertolino says that after a brief search off a trail Brian was known to have hiked… evidence was discovered that he had been there.

It’s unclear exactly what the FBI found – but we’re told that a handful of personal belongings, including clothing, authorities believe might belong to Brian. There’s even a video of them apparently breaking the news to their parents – this while they and passers-by are watching.

Now Bertolino says the powers that be will focus their efforts there for further investigation.

It’s an astonishing development, but one that surely raises eyebrows in the Laundrie family. If this was a place they thought Brian could be or could have been since his disappearance… why hadn’t they said anything until now – and how come the day they decide to go look for here they actually find something? ??

It’s a bizarre set of circumstances, and we’re sure the Federal Government will ask these tough questions – but, for now, their top priority is to bring this guy back alive … and get to the bottom of it. he knows. Gabby Petito.
